N+P gains SRF deal

N+P announced the signing of a 5 year contract for the supply of Solid recovered fuels (SRF)into a number of cement plants belonging to the Portuguese cement companies Secil and Cimpor.

In the beginning of 2014 N+P announced that the first vessel with Solid recovered fuels (SRF) from Grimsby (UK) was supplied into the Portuguese cement industry. Now N+P announced the signing of a 5 year contract for the supply of SRF into a number of cement plants belonging to the Portuguese cement companies Secil and Cimpor. The contract is signed with Gestão Ambiental e Valorização Energética, a subsidiary company of Secil, Cimpor and SGVR, responsible for sourcing and supply of alternative fuels and raw materials into the Portuguese cement industry.

By signing this contract N+P committed to supply over 700.000 ton of SRF in the next five years. The majority of the SRF is already sourced and contracted at well established companies in the UK recycling market. A minor part of the volume will be sourced in Italy and France. In the last years N+P has built a reliable logistic chain, using both containers and bulk vessels. In the past months several TFS notifications are applied and both the country of origin and destination have approved the notifications according to the European waste shipment legislation.
