Automation for new waste-to-energy plant in UK

Valmet will supply automation to the new EnviRecover waste-to-energy plant in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, UK.

The delivery of the automation for the new waste-to-energy plant will take place in November 2015, and the system will be handed over to the customer in November 2016, according to Valmet.

Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI) is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor of the EnviRecover Hartlebury plant. This is the ninth time that HZI has chosen Valmet’s automation technology for its waste-to-energy plant projects. Earlier deliveries have been made to waste-to-energy plants in Zistersdorf, Austria; Bergen, Norway; Riverside, Newhaven, STV 4&5, Ferrybridge and Greatmoor, UK; and Vaasa, Finland.

“For our project execution it is of utmost importance to have reliable business partners on board. The excellent cooperation between our two companies has been proven in the past, and therefore, we are glad to work with Valmet again,” says Patrick Summermatter, Project Director of the Mercia project for Hereford and Worcestershire.
