Sany: New telehandlers for Europe

With the STH1440 and STH1840 telehandlers, Sany is launching the first two models of its entirely newly developed telehandler series especially for the European market.

The new telehandlers are equipped with a comprehensive safety package as standard. This includes a basic design that offers the operator excellent all-round visibility. The low boom, for example, together with the sloping bonnet and low dashboard, allows maximum forward visibility of the working area. This is complemented by a rear-view camera with a sensor and visual as well as acoustic warnings to the driver in case the vehicle gets too close to other objects. To prevent overloading and instability, the precise weight system and the load management system work together in an optimal way. A safety switch that prevents vehicle movement when the driver is not seated, as well as the lift cylinders with hose rupture check valves, adding to the safety package.

The cab is a real highlight for every operator. In addition to the intuitive touchscreen display with encoder control for on-screen navigation, it is particularly the many small details that make performing tasks in the cab easier: the document pocket on the dashboard, the armrest with an integrated USB connection for the telephone, cup and bottle holders, and other storage options.

The overall concept of the SANY STH1440 and STH1840 telehandlers is designed for ultimate cost-effectiveness. Maximum performance at low operating costs is therefore one of the outstanding advantages of these two powerhouses. The high-torque engine does not require exhaust gas aftertreatment and therefore does not need expensive AdBlue additives. The Dana transmission and the axles are perfectly matched to ensure a maximum of power and efficiency. General operating costs remain low, thanks to a stop-start system and the long maintenance intervals of 500 operating hours. All maintenance work can also be carried out quickly and safely from the ground: the filters for engine oil, hydraulic oil, and fuel are centrally located, the air filter is easily accessible from the engine compartment, and the battery can be reached via a fold-up step under the cab.

With the powerful load-sensing system, which regulates the hydraulic pressure proportionally to the different outputs, the boom can be raised and extended simultaneously, saving time. And the available steering modes – two-wheel, four-wheel and crab steering – get the SANY telehandlers to the intended spot quickly and precisely.
