The event will take place on 17 and 18 June 2026 at Messe Frankfurt. Halle 3.0 will host four conference stages positioned across the exhibition floor. More than 180 speakers and over 400 exhibitors are expected to participate.

Organisers stated that seating capacity at the conference stages is limited. Access to sessions will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Four conference stages focus on key sectors

The conference programme covers developments in electronics recycling, battery recycling, metal recovery and circular electronics. Speakers include representatives from the European Commission, Siemens, BMW Group, Logitech and Umicore.

E-waste and WEEE recycling

The first stage will focus on current developments in the e-waste sector, including recycling technologies and regulatory changes. Sessions will address results from the FutuRaM project, planned revisions to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive and developments in African e-waste processing infrastructure.

Battery recycling

The battery recycling stage will examine the development of circular battery supply chains. Topics include implementation of the Battery Passport, market developments, artificial intelligence applications, electrolyte recovery and black mass processing.

Metal and critical raw material recycling

The third stage will focus on precious metals recovery and urban mining. Planned sessions include discussions on End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) regulation, aluminium scrap trade policy and strategies to strengthen critical raw material supply through recycling.

ITAD and circular electronics

The fourth stage will address information technology asset disposition (ITAD), refurbishment and repair. Topics include data sanitisation standards, SERI’s 10/35 vision and the role of ITAD in digital sovereignty strategies.

Cross-sector platform for circular economy topics

By combining the E-Waste World, Battery Recycling, Metal Recycling and ITAD & Circular Electronics exhibitions in one venue, the organisers aim to create a cross-sector platform for the circular economy industry. The programme also includes sessions on photovoltaic panel recycling and European Union funding opportunities for industrial projects.

Gabriel Day, conference producer of the event, said the decision to make the conference free to attend is intended to broaden access for engineers, recyclers and policymakers working across the sector.
