Aluminium from aircrafts

Boeing and Kaiser Aluminium have announced a scrap recycling program.

Both companies plan to salvage about 22 million pounds of copper and zinc aluminium alloys within the next two years. The material is generated during Boeing’s production of commercial aircraft. The plans are to melt down the scrap at Kaiser Aluminum’s Trentwood facility in Spokane, Wash., for re-use in the production of aerospace sheet and plate metal.
