Conference for electronic recyclers takes place in Singapore

How will electronics recyclers adjust to a recycling marketplace where manufacturers have become the critical drivers of recycling innovation, and regulations are evolving faster than regulations and even technology? Electronics Recycling Asia, November 11 - 14 at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore, aims to answer those questions.

“Electronics Recycling Asia is the best conference for understanding the present policies and different recycling schemes for WEEE used in the EU, North America, and Asian countries,” explains Hsiao Kang Ma, a professor at the National Taiwan University, and a frequent speaker at Electronics Recycling Asia.
As in 2013, this year’s conference will feature a range of global experts speaking on topics critical to the electronics industry, including an in-depth discussion of the current state of manufacturer take back schemes, recycling of batteries from electronic scrap, circular economy policies in China and across Asia, and reports on the current state of rare earth and PGM recycling. Speeches and discussions will be supplemented with optional recycling plant tours and access to an exhibition floor featuring top industry players.
“Electronics Recycling Asia attracts not only industry leaders in Asia, but also key influencers in the industry from around the world,” enthuses Carl E. Smith, President and CEO of Call2Recycle, a North American battery collection initiative. “Electronics Recycling Asia is the ideal event to connect with opportunities.”
