Syndicat Intercommunal SIDOR is operating the only Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plant in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and treats residual waste from the center and the south of the country where 375,000 people or two thirds of the Luxembourgish population live.

Fortum Klaipėda operates the Klaipėda WtE plant that treats waste from the western part of Lithuania. The first and so far the only WtE plant in the country was commissioned in 2013. The plant supplies about 40% of the heat demand of Klaipėda’s 160,000 residents while electricity is fed to the general Lithuanian energy grid.

Eren Holding joined CEWEP as an Associate Member with Modern Enerji’s first Solid Waste Incineration Plant in Çorlu (near Istanbul) with an annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes.
