Veolia buys ZenRobotics’ Waste Sorting Robots

Veolia and ZenRobotics, have agreed on a delivery of a ZenRobotics Recycler waste sorting system. The delivery of the waste sorting robots will take place in spring 2016 and the robots will be the first of their kind in France.

ZenRobotics Recycler is the first robotic waste sorting system. Designed to increase the efficiency and reduce the cost of waste sorting, the technology defines Next Generation Recycling.

“Robotic waste sorting is transforming the waste industry. We are pleased to see that one of the largest companies in waste management has chosen our technology”, says Timo Taalas, ZenRobotics CEO.

The ZenRobotics Recycler sorts out valuable raw materials from mixed waste with robots and intelligent machine learning. It has a unique recognition capability and it can sort multiple fractions simultaneously in one spot, reducing complex pre-processing of waste. Exceptional flexibility allows waste operators to switch the sorting task on the go. Consequently, ZenRobotics’ technology opens up new opportunities for forward-looking waste operators.

“This year will be the year of robotic waste sorting. As a result of our recent deliveries to Switzerland and Japan, we have witnessed increasing demand globally and therefore we’re currently extending our distribution network,” Taalas adds.
