Pump trade fair at home

A virtual trade fair is offering a safe way to exchange, even in times of isolation and home offices. The digital trade fair of Star Pump Alliance draws interested parties into conversation with pump manufacturers—around the clock and with a direct line to the exhibitors.

The coronavirus is imposing significant restrictions on business life as well. One of the consequences of the pandemic is that hardly any public events are being held right now. Nevertheless, trade fairs continue to represent one of the most important resources for the industry to gather up-to-date information about product innovations. Also, trade fair booth is often where the foundation for business cooperation is laid.

To continue to provide users with a simple and direct connection to top manufacturers even in times of crisis, Star Pump Alliance (SPA) launched the SPA Fair. With the first online trade fair with focus on the delivery of liquid media, Star Pump Alliance is placing exhibits from all ten member companies in the spotlight. “Whether chemistry, water treatment, or food production—with the SPA Fair, we want to offer customers and interested parties from our eleven core industries everything that they are accustomed to finding at a first-class trade fair,” said Kai Stegemann, Managing Director of SPA.

Direct line to the exhibitors

Starting with an overview of the virtual exhibition hall, visitors of the SPA Fair can reach the booths of the exhibitors directly. At the booths, they can gain insights into the exhibits on display, see the pumps in action via demonstration videos, and receive comprehensive product specifications. But the most important thing is the direct line to the exhibitor: a single click is all it takes to start a custom inquiry. Afterwards, there is nothing that gets in the way of a detailed exchange via e-mail, phone call or video conference.

“Of course, interested parties can also click through the usual websites of various providers and use their contact forms,” according to Stegemann. From the experience of member companies, he knows that this is the path many are choosing at the moment. “But such manual searches can quickly turn into a real test of patience, even at home offices” the SPA Managing Director warns. Instead, the SPA Fair offers targeted expertise from pump professionals with decades of experience, all from a single source. Links lead to current bulletins from manufacturers on the SPA website and also to the Pump Selector. With a few clicks, the online tool offers extensive information about pumps for almost every application purpose and the option for posting inquiries without customer commitment. “In doing so, the SPA Fair offers visitors even more benefits than a conventional trade fair,” Stegemann stresses. The only limitation: “So far, our exhibitors cannot offer visitors the customary cup of coffee.”
