Petcore Europe announces new executive director

Petcore Europe has announced that Roberto Bertaggia has been appointed as Executive Director as of 23rd November 2023. He replaces Martin Stephan, who previously served in the role.

Roberto Bertaggia has spent over 30 years of his career in managing both complex contractual sales and coordination roles. He has in-depth experience across the PET industry including recycling technologies, regulatory and business development. Moreover, he is a Past President of Petcore Europe, serving in the post back in 2017.

Commenting on his appointment, Antonello Ciotti, President at Petcore Europe said: “We welcome Roberto Bertaggia and are convinced that his experience and competencies will be invaluable as we work to deliver and sharpen the targets defined in the Petcore mission and move towards an environmental transition with the aim of maximizing the circularity of our business. We thank Martin for the support and dedication that he has shown as Executive Director over the past six months, and we wish him all the best in his new role as Chief Business Officer at Global Bioenergies.”
