With Erema India, the two companies expand their presence in a market shaped by rising recycling targets and expanding infrastructure. The subsidiary enables Indian recyclers to access mechanical recycling technologies supported by local service, with a focus on commissioning, technical support and spare parts availability.
Erema India operates as part of the Erema Group and consolidates extrusion technology from Erema with washing technology from Lindner Washtech. The joint venture builds on a long-standing cooperation in the Indian market. Deepak Mehta has been appointed Managing Director and Partner, with responsibility for local operations and customer support.
According to OECD forecasts, plastic consumption in India is expected to increase more than fivefold between 2019 and 2060. Regulatory measures such as extended producer responsibility requirements and investments in collection and sorting systems are increasing the relevance of plastics recycling. In the bottle-to-bottle segment, recycling capacity of around 600,000 tonnes is expected to be installed by 2026.
Erema India provides access to washing, extrusion and thermal decontamination technologies designed for high throughput and consistent output quality. Coordinated process chains support applications including food-contact recycling. Local service teams assist with commissioning, optimisation and after-sales support.
For PET and polyolefin recycling applications, integrated systems address complex post-consumer input streams and defined material specifications. Standardised ReadyMac and ReadyWash systems are also available for customers seeking shorter delivery times and established system designs.
Erema India operates from two locations. The Vadodara site in Gujarat includes sales operations and a Customer Center for material trials and testing. An additional sales and service office in Mumbai supports customers in western and southern India.
