Political Opening of IFAT Munich
The official opening will be led by Carsten Schneider, Jessika Roswall and Thorsten Glauber. The opening event will take place on May 4 at 10:00 on the Blue Stage and will highlight the coordination of environmental policy at European, national and regional levels.
Industry Dialogue on Circular Economy
A programme focus will be the exchange between political stakeholders and industry. Hildegard Müller will address the role of circular economy principles and resource efficiency in industrial value chains. Her presentation is scheduled for May 4 at 13:30 on the Orange Stage, organised by BDE.
Participation of German Federal States
Several ministers from German federal states are expected to attend. Hubert Aiwanger will open the “Hydrogen in the Circular Economy” area. Representatives from North Rhine-Westphalia, including Mona Neubaur and Oliver Krischer, will also participate in discussions on circular economy strategies.
European Policy and Industry Exchange
A European high-level discussion on the circular economy will take place on May 6. Participants include Eric Mamer, alongside representatives from industry and finance institutions. The session will address regulatory developments and their interaction with technological implementation in Europe.
International Delegations at IFAT Munich
The trade fair will also host international ministerial delegations. Environment ministers from countries including Austria, Bolivia, Egypt and South Africa are expected to attend. Their participation reflects the role of IFAT Munich as a platform for international exchange in environmental technologies and circular economy practices.
