Herbold Meckesheim is strengthening its offering of used machinery for the plastics recycling industry. The portfolio includes granulators, shredders, pulverizers, plastcompactors, and washing line components such as friction washers and dryers. Depending on configuration and availability, many machines can be delivered at short notice.

Before resale, all used machines undergo a detailed technical evaluation. Depending on machine type and condition, equipment is either inspected and serviced or comprehensively refurbished, using the same precision measuring and testing procedures applied in new machine production. Critical components such as bearing seats, roller bearings, seals, and wear parts are checked for tolerances and dimensional accuracy.

Demand for second-hand equipment has grown in recent years, driven by rising investment costs and shorter project timelines. “For many customers, a used machine is no longer a compromise, but a deliberate and economically sound decision,” says Karlheinz Herbold, Senior Specialist of Sales Used Machines at Herbold Meckesheim. “They receive proven Herbold technology, expert-level consulting and dependable service, combined with shorter lead times and attractive investment conditions.” In addition to the machines themselves, Herbold Meckesheim offers application-oriented consulting and technical support tailored to individual process requirements.
