China's decision to stop importing recyclable plastic waste in January 2018 has left the world with little choice but to landfill recyclables for which no market now exists.

World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (Worldsteel) was 151.4 million tonnes (Mt) in June 2018, a 5.8% increase compared to June 2017.
