The study by Ducker Worldwide sees this surge mainly coming from rolled and extruded products. An increase of aluminium content up to 200 kg per vehicle is expected with 150 kg today. Especially the use of aluminum for auto body sheets is expected to double. The growth is largely attributed to aluminium’s role in lightweighting cars, thereby contributing to low emission mobility.
