From its colourful graffiti style IFAT stand, Stahlwerke Bochum GmbH (SWB) distributed information about the further development of its tried and tested CSNG hammers, and is more than satisfied with its participation in the trade fair
The continuous further development of its castings made in Bochum (Germany) has always been a top priority for SWB. In late 2017, SWB launched its original CSNG hammers with a new formula. SWB kept the tried and tested materials. This offers the shredder operators security and a high availability of their plants with the original from SWB. At the same time, SWB has optimised the relevant production parameters. The new formula includes adjustments in the use of alloys, a modified temperature control with adjusted holding times within the heat treatment process, as well as the greatest possible homogenisation of the primary microstructure through the use of computer simulation. The optimised CSNG hammers show a significantly improved stress resistance which leads to a noticeable reduction of the risk of chipping due to overload.
From 14 to 18 May 2018, SWB customers, potential buyers and all other trade fair visitors had the chance to inform themselves about the ‘new’ CSNG hammers at IFAT in Munich. The original with a new formula – represented by an airbrush hammer model with shark teeth – was the star among the SWB wear parts that were presented as ‘Ultimate Eyecatchers’ at the colourful graffiti style stand, and was a popular photo subject. But also the other products of SWB’s full programme of highly wear-resistant tools and components for shredders, shears, crushers and other processing plants attracted numerous visitors to the SWB stand. Hence, SWB is more than satisfied with its IFAT participation. The SWB team could strengthen existing contacts, and establish new ones. The internationality of the trade fair visitors was of particular note. SWB already delivers to more than 50 countries worldwide with a rising trend – also thanks to IFAT.
