The plant, designed and delivered by CDE, is part of Roma Grus’s strategy to support the circular economy and reduce dependence on virgin resources. With advanced washing and classification technology, the site produces a consistent supply of recycled materials that meet the requirements of Sweden’s construction sector.
By diverting large volumes of CD&E waste from landfill, the project significantly cuts carbon emissions and environmental impact. According to CDE, the installation demonstrates how sustainable technology can help regional players like Roma Grus drive change in the construction industry.
Roma Grus emphasized that the investment not only supports environmental goals but also strengthens local supply chains on Gotland by providing reliable access to recycled construction materials.
The plant is among the most advanced of its kind in Scandinavia and highlights the growing role of recycling in achieving climate-neutral construction.
