A total of more than 170 million euros is to be invested. OMV is to hold 89.9 percent of the joint venture, Interzero 10.1 percent. The ground-breaking ceremony will take place on 20 November. Production at the new plant is scheduled to start in 2026, and about 120 new jobs are to be created.
The plant will use OMV's ReOil technology to extract pyrolysis oil from non-recyclable plastic waste. Primarily mixed plastics from the yellow bag and the yellow bin are to be used.
