Waste incineration industry defies Covid-19 crisis

The WtE industry barometer shows that the industry defies the current Covid-19 crisis, says CEWEP. As in the years before, the organization supported Ecoprog in conducting a survey regarding the Waste-to-Energy (WtE) industry barometer 2020 and has encouraged its members to actively participate.

The Waste-to-Energy (WtE) sector embodies a reliable anchor during the crisis, says CEWEP. It provides positive impetus for investments and employment while ensuring reliable waste treatment services in turbulent times, despite travel restrictions and contact constraints which complicated and delayed several actions.

As demonstrated during the Covid-19 crisis, thermal treatment represents an indispensable and solid pillar in waste management.

The WtE industry barometer is available as a free download on the CEWEP website.
