EuPC will continue to support and represent the European plastics converting industry in this transition towards a full plastic circular economy.

According to EuPC President Mr. Benoît Hennaut, “an important aspect for the 50.000 SMEs in the plastics converting industry in Europe is that often family-owned businesses do not have the management time to foresee important strategic changes”.

PolyVision will further develop tools and find new ways to assist plastic converting companies in Europe who need advice and guidance in this challenging circular plastics transition.

As a first important step, Mr. Bernard Merkx, has been appointed Managing Director of EuPC by the EuPC Steering Committee. As of 1st January 2023, Mr. Merkx will represent the plastics converting industry in Brussels towards the EU institutions replacing Mr. Alexandre Dangis who has been at the head of EuPC for over 30 years.

Alexandre Dangis will remain Senior Advisor to the EuPC President, but engage with other personal circular plastics projects as well.
