An important contribution

Chemical recycling is one of the most discussed topics in the field of plastics. In addition to the question of whether the technologies behind them make sense in principle, it is also unclear what kind of contribution they can actually make to plastics recycling in Europe. Scientists from Belgium, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands have dealt with this in a study published in "Resources, Conservation & Recycling". Their conclusion: Without chemical recycling, the EU's demanding recycling quotas will not be achieved.
