Terex Ecotec expands screening portfolio

Terex Ecotec has introduced the TXS 350 Starscreen, expanding its screening equipment portfolio with a three-fraction machine designed for high-throughput processing of organic and environmental materials. The model is positioned for applications in biomass, compost, green waste, topsoil, wood chips and bark.

The TXS 350 features self-cleaning stars and sectional speed control, enabling operators to adjust screening parameters according to material characteristics and site conditions. An integrated control system allows for the adjustment of individual deck sections to maintain consistent screening performance across varying feedstocks.

The machine is equipped with a cassette-style screen deck arrangement that facilitates maintenance and reconfiguration. Both screen decks can be removed as complete units. Power can be supplied either via an onboard generator set or through an external power source, providing flexibility for different operating environments.

Material is fed into a 7 m³ hopper fitted with an adjustable metering wheel to regulate throughput onto the screen decks. Hydraulic folding hopper extensions increase overall hopper capacity when required.

The screening unit comprises two decks. The coarse deck measures 5 m by 1.25 m and is fitted with 19 shafts, each carrying between nine and ten stars. The fines deck measures 6 m by 1.25 m and incorporates 44 shafts, each equipped with 38 stars. Both decks are divided into independently controlled sections, allowing operators to vary deck speeds to suit specific material flows and particle size requirements. Cleaning fingers can be installed on the stars of both decks to reduce material build-up during operation and limit unplanned downtime.

Two variable-height stockpile conveyors handle the mid-size and fines fractions. The mid-size conveyor offers a maximum discharge height of 3.7 m, while the fines conveyor reaches up to 3.1 m. Both conveyors can be lowered to ground level to facilitate maintenance.

Mounted on crawler tracks, the TXS 350 is designed for mobility within and between sites. Integrated service platforms provide access for routine inspection and maintenance tasks.

According to Terex Ecotec, the TXS 350 was developed to extend the company’s screening range and to address operational requirements for high-capacity screening in organic waste and biomass applications.
