The first day of the Annual Meeting will feature the PRE Working Group meetings, where PET, HDPE/PP and LDPE sessions will be open to the public.

Plastic Recyclers confirm first speakers for annual meeting

Market overview, as well as the perspectives of the different value chain actors, will be presented in the respective meetings, with representatives from Procter & Gamble, SP Global, Fraunhofer Institute, Recycling Technologies, and more.

The main conference - Design for recycling, where quality plastics recycling begins - will take place on the second day. Carlo Pettinelli, Director for Consumer, Environmental and Health Technologies from the European Commission, will give the opening keynote speech. The introduction session will look at the EU approach and global trends in recyclability, where Christian Guellerin from L'École de design Nantes Atlantique and Kim Ragaert from the University of Ghent will participate.

The remaining sessions will look at what is expected from recyclability and the role of value chain when it comes to it, in addition to design for recycling beyond packaging. The panel discussion will give an outlook on the future of recyclability. Speakers from Ampacet, Avery Dennison, Nestlé, Constantia Flexibles, Unilever, HP, CITEO, Tarkett and others have been confirmed.
